My Old Friend

This was created as a sequel to one of my previous artworks, "My New Friend".  I imagined time passed, and the octopus had grown larger than its mermaid friend.  They are still friends after all this time.  It took 80 hours to complete, being one of my most detailed pieces of work.

Glowing Jellyfish

This was one of my first attempts at using the copic air brush system.  I had redone this artwork 3 times before I was happy with the end result.  The glowing effect happened by chance when I didn't completely mask the bubbles and jellyfish.  My favorite mistake!  The original is actually very small at only 5 inches by 7 inches.

Dark Fairy of The Sea

The drawing of the fairy had been completed, but I had no idea what to do for the background.  I asked my followers on Instagram and Facebook what they thought.  There were suggestions for a spacescape, a cliff, a big tree, a cave, the sea, a waterfall, and a ship.   So I did all of them, creating this amazing visual of somewhere out of this world.

Cotton Candy Space

All my space scapes are  my "no waste" projects.  I use almost dried out markers and the small nibs of colored pencils, all on scrap pieces of paper.   There is no plan when I create these, just to enjoy the aesthetics.  This one came out looking like cotton candy.

Sailor Moon

After I created my "Princess Serenity" fan art I had many patrons request for Usagi in her sailor scout uniform.  My vision was to create a version of her in a more action style pose but still keep the Sailor Moon aesthetic.

Princess Serenity

The moon on this artwork is one of my most favorite textures I have created.  The first draft of this work, her eyes were closed.  Later I reworked the piece to open her eyes.   In 2014 I offered a few prints of the original version.  Every so often I hear from a patron that they still have the original.

Lovely Lotlita

This is one of the last pieces of artwork I lined everything with ink.  The drawing started out very simple but after I colored  everything I decided to add more details with ink.  I made so many mistakes while working on this, however it forced me to get very creative in fixing them.

Space Moons

Spacescapes are a fun way to play with color, and try new techniques with your materials.  On this one I tried to create a stronger glowing effect around the  moons and planets.  I had a scrap piece of water color paper for this spacescape that created some beautiful textures.

Goku VS Vegeta

The Dragon Ball series  is still one of my  favorite animes of all time.  I remember collecting all the VHS's when I was little.  For this fan art I wanted to create a piece that showed many of the items Goku had  in the beginning before he could go Super Saiyan.  All of the Dragon Balls are in this artwork as well.

Deadpool

Like many other fans I loved the Deadpool movies, and wanted to create a fanart of the version from the big screen.

Black Cat

Black Cat has one of my favorite character designs.  Growing up I never missed an episode of Spider-Man (1994 TV Series).  I remembered the panic of walking home from school trying to get to the TV in time.  Back in the day if you missed an episode you had to wait for it to rerun at a later date.   Which was the worst if it involved a bigger plot than one episode, or if it introduced a new character.  For my own nostalgia I needed to created a fan art of her.

Poison Ivy

Can you guess where the plant is from?  This is one of the few cross over fan art pieces I have done.  The plant is the piranha plant from Mario but reimagined in a more realistic version.  It took 80 hours to complete this artwork.

Galactic Vortex

This spacescape was very different from my previous ones.  I wanted to create a visual of planets being sucked into a vortex.  More white pencil was used on this one than my usual spacescapes to help get the cloudy effects.

Eeveelutions

This was created for my oldest child.  They are a huge fan of Pokemon and requested a fan art of a pokemon with all their evolutions.  I thought they would just request the usual 3 evolution character.  Nope, Eevee was the request.  Now I remember the initial 3; Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon; however I was informed more had been added since I actively was involved in the Pokemon Community.  It was very entertaining learning all these new characters.

Hidden Planet

Can you see the half silhouette of the planet hidden by the brilliance of the brighter planet?  The nebula on this piece of work came out beautiful, I am so happy with how this one turned out.
